Coralberry

This spreading vine is a valuable late-season source of food for browsing birds and animals, plus it provides a protective habitat within its long twining branches for these lilies.

Related to the native Trumpet Honeysuckle, and known as Buckbush and Devil's Shoestring in Virginia, it sports tiny white blossoms at the beginning of the growing season.

The tiny fruit look very much like miniature apples to me.
